Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a well-proven procedure used to treat spider veins and involves injecting a solution directly into the vein without any local anesthesia. This solution causes the vein to swell and stick together and eventually scar and collapse. Once the collapsed vein in reabsorbed into local tissue, the appearance of spider veins fades. It may take 2-4 months to see the full results.

As experts in vascular care not just varicose veins, Horizon Vascular Specialists provides you with the most comprehensive care to ensure you get optimal results with minimal recovery time. At Horizon, we offer the very best methods and latest technology to treat vein problems. We help patients determine which treatment option is most appropriate for their specific medical needs.

All of our procedures can be completed in-office and within an hour. Patients can usually resume normal activity, except exercise and heavy lifting, immediately after the procedure. Your physician may also recommend compression stockings to be worn for 1-2 weeks after the procedure.

Other varicose vein treatments include
- Chemical Ablation
- Ambulatory Phlembectomy
- Venefit
