Oncology

At Horizon Vascular Specialists, we provide minimally invasive treatments, perform procedures to manage pain and complications, perform biopsies, and alleviate a variety of symptoms that can occur during cancer treatment. Imaging techniques including CT, ultrasound, PET, and MRI help pinpoint the exact area of treatment, minimizing the effect on normal surrounding tissue. Image-guided techniques can be also used as the primary treatment to destroy tumors, to prevent bleeding during surgery, or to relieve pain caused by cancer or its treatment. Since these procedures do not require incisions or general anesthesia, they have fewer risks for our patients and allow them to recover more quickly compared with surgery and may even be able to return home the same day.
